HEY, EVERYONE!!! I know I haven't been on DA recently, but that's because I don't want to upload all the crazy loads of sketches I've been doing. Currently I have been trying to improve my drawing skills rather than finished artwork. Soon I will have finishes... I hope. D:
I tried to explain to a friend how much I have changed within a year, and she didn't really believe me. So, I made this timeline, and WOW. I cannot BELIEVE some of these sketches were really made in 2008 if it didn't have a date!!!!!!! The old sketches were made in photoshop. I draw A LOT better in pencil and much more detailed, but this gives a basic idea of how I drew the head back then and style.
What has really helped me improve are three things:
~Sketching constantly
~Direct Observation
~Motivation + art friends 8D

Wow. Way to improve even more. I know I've told you before, but I MIGHT AS WELL SAY IT AGAIN, since it's been like a year since I said it the last time: It it SO INSPIRATIONAL to see someone who I know has the same sort of mindset and artistic hunger that I do, plowing through this sort of art and improving by leaps and bounds and just... ridiculous amounts. I remember the very first time I saw you and your art - back before you were starting to learn from life and observation. I cannot think of /anyone/ else who I could say has improved more in my time of knowing/knowing of them.
You're an amazing artist. Probably doesn't mean much, coming from a near perfect stranger, but I am so proud of you. And very inspired by you.
